Our Story

On Saturday night (6:58pm) a 7.8 magnitude earthquake hit the coast of Ecuador and generated over 315 replicas between the cities of Pedernales and Cojimies (north of the coastal province of Manabí). Reports of lost lives rise up to 355 and over 2,000 people are wounded. We anticipate these numbers will continue to grow

The Global Shapers Quito Hub, a group of young people chosen for their ability to generate change, launched a crowd funding campaign on April 17th to gather support from the national and international community. Our initial goal was to raise $8,000, in less than 24hrs we have raised close to $70,000. We are now committed to investing ourselves fully to maximize the potential impact of this platform.
